Why reface your cabinets instead of painting them?

Many DIYers think that if they do it themselves, they will save money. Although that may be true in the short term, long term it may be more costly. New cabinets that are painted are “baked” to seal in the finish and protect it against wear and tear. Improperly painting your cabinets doesn’t seal in the finish which can cause it to chip or wear of quickly. Also, painting your cabinets can be time-consuming.

Cabinet refacing offers a variety of other benefits:

  • Allows you to use existing countertops. If you like your current countertop, great, keep them!
  • Upgrade your hardware or use your existing ones. Because we are replacing your doors, you have the option of purchasing whatever hardware you want.
