A: All of our cabinet products are made of real wood. The only exception to this would be paint grade which is made of a combination of real hardwood and high-density machining grade material (HDM). We offer 8 different species of wood.
A: While painting offers a quick and beautiful transformation, it lacks long-term durability. Cabinets produced in a factory are either stained or painted. If paint is chosen, the material is first primed and then finished coated to the selected color. After the color coat of either stain or paint is applied a clear coat is applied. Once this clear coat is applied the cabinet material then enters an oven. This oven process allows the clear coat to be heated, baked, and hardened. This process is what gives the cabinet material its long-lasting durability.
A: While we know everyone is excited and looking for immediate results, we do not like to rush any part of your project. From the initial call to the initial appointment, we try to gather as much information about your style and design preferences. Once the in-home consultation is complete, we will prepare a proposal for you to view. After you make a door style and color selection we will order you a sample door of your selection. While this adds some time to the process, we feel it is important for you to view the exact door and color you chose for your project. Once we have confirmation we will place an order for all your materials. It typically takes 10-12 weeks to receive your product. Once your order arrives in our facility, we will arrange an installation date, which is typically within 2 weeks. From your initial phone call to the completion of your project, you can expect a time frame of 14-16 weeks.
A: Paint Grade doors and 5-Piece drawer headers have a solid fine-grain hardwood frame. Center panels and slab headers are of High-Density Machining grade material (HDM). All moldings are solid hardwood. End panels are made of HDM.
A: Manufacture: Showplace Wood Products provides a Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original owners of the installed residential cabinetry and warrants its Product to be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal residential use for as long as the product is owned by the original residential purchasers in the products originally installed residential location. The warranty applies only when the product is purchased through an authorized Showplace dealer, is not applicable to rental properties, and is not transferable to subsequent owners.
Refacing and More: Any items covered under the manufactures warranty will be covered by Refacing and More and items will be corrected at no cost to the customer. Refacing and More offers a 5-year warranty that covers any craftsmanship issues not covered by the manufactures warranty.
A: If you can not find a color you like or if you would like a specific color, we can make that happen. The manufacturing facility works directly with a representative from Sherwin Williams to match customer colors. This will slightly increase the over cost of the project and will add an additional 2-3 weeks.
A: During the process, some dust is created. While we isolate the work area with plastic walls, we cannot guarantee the inside of the cabinets will remain clear. Because of this, we ask that all cabinets be emptied prior to work beginning. If needed, we will provide stackable storage totes for you to store your contents in during the renovation prosses.
A: Once we have finalized the proposal and made of final color and door selections, we collect 40% to order the job. On the first day of work, we collect an additional 40%. Once the job is complete, we collect the remaining 20%.
A: Prior to placing a cabinet order, we feel it is important for you to see exactly what you are ordering and exactly what is going into your home. For every job, we order a door sample with the door and color you want. This gives you the ability to see the door and color at different times of the day with different lighting conditions.
A: We do not have a brick-and-mortar location. From start to finish, we believe we can provide the best service and bring it directly to you. By not having a storefront, it also helps keep our pricing lower. It aids us in providing a high-quality product at an industry-leading price.
A: Unlike the bigger box stores, at Refacing and More we have a total of 4 employees. Throughout the entire project, you will only deal with 2 people. When you contact us by phone or send in a request via our website, you will first talk with Phyliss. She will guide you through the process, provided an initial job quotation, and help you schedule an in-home consolation. Next, you will be contacted by Richard who is one of the owners and the lead carpenter. He will conduct the in-home consolation and provide a written proposal. Richard will work with you through the material selection process and order the material. Once the material arrives, Richard will be on site every day to install the job. Typically, Richard will have one other member of our team on-site with him to help with the installation. If for any reason there is a warranty issue, Richard will be the one to follow up and correct any issue. Our philosophy is that we treat your home like our home. The detail and craftsmanship are the same that our team would expect in their home.
A: While refacing is a suitable option for most kitchens, there are some situations where refacing is not a good fit. We do offer full kitchen remodel services. If this is the route that is chosen, we will produce a 3D drawing of the new kitchen. The cabinet material and options will be the same as refacing.
A: We have developed relationships with some of the best contractors in the area. We can offer electrical, countertops, plumbing, flooring, paint, and drywall along with backsplash. We can coordinate all these options for you.
